Answers about recipes, measurements, tools, dietary wording and the purpose of this site.
Is this a restaurant-review or “near me” website?
No. The site does not maintain local restaurant listings, live availability or city rankings. It focuses on evergreen dessert methods, recipes and planning.
Are the recipes professionally kitchen-tested?
The site does not claim a commercial test kitchen or professional chef testing. Recipes are presented as carefully edited home-baking frameworks, and results vary with ingredients, equipment and technique.
Why are metric measurements listed first?
Metric weights are widely understood internationally and are more repeatable for many baking ingredients. Practical US-volume equivalents are included where helpful.
Can I substitute ingredients?
Sometimes, but substitutions can change moisture, structure, acidity, sweetness and fat. A recipe designed for the dietary or ingredient change is usually more reliable.
Does “vegan” or “gluten free” guarantee safety for allergies?
No. Labels, ingredients and cross-contact must be evaluated for the individual. A home kitchen may not be able to guarantee an allergen-free result.
Do the calculators save my entries?
The tools operate in the browser and entries are not intentionally submitted to a database operated by this site. Refreshing or closing the page may clear them.
Can I use a different pan?
The Pan Converter provides an area-based starting factor. Depth, shape, material and baking time still need judgement.
Why is there no newsletter form?
The site does not pretend to operate an email list when it does not. Visitors can return through bookmarks or search.
Does the site sell desserts or baking products?
No. It is an informational publishing site. Advertising may appear, but the site does not process orders or payments.
How do I report a correction?
